€15,000 Allocated by Council for Traffic Calming
|€15,000 has been allocated by the County Council for traffic calming measures in Louth Village. A series of public meetings were called by Fr. Sean Quinn who is concerned about speeding through the village after a lady had to be taken to hospital with minor injuries after a collision & with the increased amount of children using the new playground.
Following a meeting in the community centre on 17th August which was attended by councillors Liam Reilly, Delores Minogue & Pearse McGeough & also TD Peter Fitzpatrick, the County Council has allocated €15,000 to possibly install ramps, signage and/or a pedestrian crossing.
