Louth Village Girl Guides donate to St. Mary’s Special School Drumcar

On Friday the 25th of September, the Louth Village Girl Guides made a fantastic donation of €400 to a very worthy cause, St. Mary’s Special School, Drumcar.

Along with their Guide leaders Mary Mc Donnell, Aine Mc Mahon, Eimer Cosgrove, Olivia Rooney, Dana Sheridan, Sarah Englishby and Shauna Smyth the girls collected “brown penneys” and did a sponsored walk to raise this amount.

The cheque which totalled €400 was greatly received by the Principal of St. Mary’s Special School Kevin Toale and class teacher Aoife Byrne. Kevin thanked all the leaders and guides for their genoristy and support and spoke to the girls about the special kind of work they do in St. Marys and that this kind of money would go along way in helping these children and their families.
